Lower your Cholesterol with Curcumall®

Within the last five years, Curcumall® was prescribed to many patients who suffered from Arthritis, Crohn's disease, Parkinson and other health problems. Those who took Curcumall® on a regular basis (once or twice daily) reported that after a few weeks they realized that in addition to relief from their symptoms, there was also a significant reduction in their cholesterol levels as well as weight loss.
The lowering of the cholesterol did not come as a surprise, as there is research to back it. The weight loss reports of the patients sounded interesting but we found very little research evidence to back these reports till the newly published report, by Asma Ejaz et al suggesting that dietary curcumin may have a potential benefit in preventing obesity http://www.naturalnews.com/026328_curcumin_turmeric_weight_gain.html

Curcumin prevents the oxidation of cholesterol in the body. Since oxidized cholesterol damages blood vessels and builds up in the plaques that can lead to heart attack or stroke, preventing the oxidation of new cholesterol may help reduce the progression of atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease.

In a 2007 research, D. Peschel showed that curcumin prevents LDL (bad) cholesterol from becoming oxidized, thus preventing the damaging effects of cholesterol on the arteries. Curcumin was shown to lower the LDL (bad) cholesterol levels by stimulating the creation of more LDL-receptors in the liver. http://linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S0955286306000775

Another preliminary research that was performed in India (Soni, K. B. et al, The Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, 1992), showed a significant drop in cholesterol levels in ten healthy volunteers who consumed curcumin for seven days. Not only did their blood levels of oxidized cholesterol drop by 33%, but their total cholesterol dropped 11.63%, and their HDL (good cholesterol) increased by 29% ! http://grande.nal.usda.gov/ibids/index.php?mode2=detail&origin=ibids_references&therow=180525
Curcumall® is a concentrated liquid form of curcumin C3 and is recommended to be taken once or twice daily, a teaspoon in a glass of water, on an empty stomach (half an hour before meal, or two hours after meal).
Curcumall®, has demonstrated high bioavailability and is well absorbed through the intestine to the blood. In contrast to statins, Curcumall® has no side effects.

Maintaining Normal Cholesterol Levels
Lowering Cholesterol levels with Curcumall® can be obtained within a few weeks. After reaching normal cholesterol levels it is recommended to continue the intake of Curcumall® as a preventive measure once daily.

Be Happy with Cucrumall®

If you want to help boost your mood make a habit of drinking Curcumall® every day – a teaspoon mixed in a glass of water, half an hour before meal.
In contrast to many other turmeric/ curcumin products, Curcumall® in its liquid concentrated form has demonstrated high bioavailability.
Curcumin C3, the active ingredient in Curcumall® has shown in animal models to act as an antidepressant.  It was found that curcumin enhances nerve growth in areas of the brain associated with emotional equilibrium.
Curcumall® may also relieve migranes. Ginger is one of Curcumall's ingredients and it was found that ginger can relieve migranes. Researchers believe the gingerols found in ginger, may be responsible for blocking the body's prostaglandins. These are substances that cause inflammation of the blood vessels in the brain, which leads to migraines.
"I was quite amazed to realize that after taking Curcumall® for circa ten days, it relieved my head migranes.  I am very grateful and can recommend it to anyove who suffers from migranes..." (Sheri K., PA)
In addition, curcumin is a potent natural anti-inflammatory agent which was shown to lower the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and the risk of cancer. So there are clear benefits to consume Curcumall® on a daily routine. It is a safe supplement that can be taken indefinitely and even together with pharmaceutical antidepressants.

Tame your chronic pain with Curcumall®

Curcumall® is a liquid extract of curcumin that improves significantly curcumin's bioavailability and was shown to ease muscle pain and maintain joint health.

Studies show that curcumin is actually three times more effective at easing pain than aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxen, plus it can help relieve chronic pain for 50 percent of people struggling with arthritis and even fibromyalgia, according to Cornell researchers.

That is due to the fact that curcumin shuts down COX-2 (cyclooxygenase 2), an enzyme that churns out a stream of pain-producing hormones.

Curcumin has been shown in research to be a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent.  Curcumall® is a concentrated liquid extract of the optimized form of curcumin –curcumin C3.  Reseacrh has shown that Curcumin C3 is a healthier and more effective alternative to pain medications and prescription drugs, without any of their negative side effects. Better still, you can take comfort in the fact you are also protecting your brain, and quelling inflammation and oxidative stress throughout your body.

The data is intriguing as the ongoing research on curcumin shows its role in combating more serious chronic diseases, like various circulatory and inflammatory disorders and auto-immune diseases. Curcumin's anti-aging properties have also been tracked in lab mice.

Oral Mucositis and Curcumall®

Improving Quality of Life

Circa a year ago, I was approached by a cancer patient from California who developed oral mucositis due to chemo treatments. The painful mucositis bouts caused discomfort and difiiculties in eating.
As she was about to start a new series of chemo and was desperately looking for ways to prevent the development of the mucositis, she learned about curcumin's benefits and decided to try Curcumall® rinses as a preventive measure. For circa one month prior to chemo, she faithfully rinsed with Curcumall® 2-3 times daily. She continued with the rinses during the chemo treatments and this enabled her to eat normally during and after the treatments. Curcumall rinses prevented the development of the painful bouts of mucositis she had prior to using Curcumall®. Since she started the treatment she did not have even one round of chemo where she has not been able to eat. She felt that this was amazing, as before she took this treatment she had traumatic experiences with mucositis.

Instructions for Curcumall® Rinses for Mucositis: mix 1 tablespoon of Curcumall® with 2 tablespoons of water and rinse the mouth with the mixture keeping the mixture in the mouth for at least one minute. Following the Curcumall® rinse, it is advised not to drink or eat, and not to rinse the mouth with water for at least half an hour. This procedure should be repeated 3 times daily, at least two weeks before chemo treatments and during chemo treatments.

Oral mucositis is an inflammation of the mucosal membrane and is a prominent cause of patient discomfort during cancer therapy, varying with the type of regimen. The incidence of oral mucositis in cancer patients is reported to be between 40%-70%. The severe grade 3 oral mucositis, seen in roughly 18% of patients, is extremely painful, hampers food intake, and can be the difference between someone living as an outpatient or an inpatient.

Effective prevention and reduction of mucosal injury can significantly improve the quality of life of cancer patients undergoing therapy and enable them to eat normally and avoid the discomfort due to the painful sores.

Curcumin was shown to prevent mucositis in animal models with induced mucositis. Curcumall®, the liquid curcumin/ turmeric extract is now under clinical study on mucositis at the Hadassah Hospital in Israel. Preliminary results of this study suggest that Curcumall® can prevent the painful mouth sores and ulcers that develop in chemotherapy-treated cancer patients.

The management of oral mucositis that may be caused by radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy can be controlled by Curcumall®.

Curcumall® for Pain and Arthritis

Curcumall® for Pain and Arthritis

A few weeks ago I got a phone call from Henry, a well known physical therapist who massages and treats many of my patients who suffer from arthritic pain. Henry told me that three months earlier he experienced pains in his joints and especially in his hands and gradually his hand joints were so swollen and stiff and the pain was so sever that he had to stop treating patients and closed down his clinic. Being familiar with anti-inflammatory drugs and their side-effects, Henry decided to avoid drugs and try the dietary supplement Curcumall®.
After a week of intake of Curcumall® (3 times daily), he realized to his amazement that the swelling and pains went gradually away. He continued with Curcumall® for another 10 days and reopened his clinic. Now Henry continues taking Curcumall® once daily as a preventive measure against reoccurrence of pain and inflammation.

Arthritis is caused by continuous inflammation, which is a result from the body's immunological response to tissue damage. Continuous
inflammation leads to a variety of chronic conditions like arthritis and its associated pain.

Lack of success to alleviate pain with the available therapeutic treatments, has lead the medical research to look for natural agents like turmeric that can serve as therapy to inflammatory pain.
Turmeric and its active ingredient curcumin have been known for centuries to assist in alleviating pain. But the effectiveness of oral supplementation with turmeric/ curcumin has been limited due to poor absorption. Curcumall® the natural liquid extract of turmeric and curcumin C3, is well absorbed through the digestive tract and was found to be effective against pain, including muscle pain, lower back pain, osteo-arthritic pain and nerve pain.

Curcumin has been found to regulate numerous molecular targets and pathways that are linked to inflammation . The natural anti-inflammatory activity of curcumin is comparable in strength to steroidal drugs without the side effects of the later. References and further reading may be available for this article.
Moreover, recent data by Professor Bharat Aggarwal (2008), suggests that due to its anti-inflammatory properties, curcumin plays a major role in the prevention and treatment of various chronic diseases like cardiovascular, autoimmune, and neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Janet Funk and her colleagues from the University of Arizona, have determined the in vivo efficacy of turmeric extracts in the prevention and treatment of arthritis.
http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=2533857
The results of their research were published in "Arthritis and Rheumatism", the journal of the American College of Rheumatology, March 2006
The study also showed that as well as preventing joint inflammation, the extract of curcumin helps prevent bone loss. This finding has been investigated in another study by Funk to determine whether turmeric can prevent bone loss in women before menopause.
Curcumin's anti-inflammatory activity was researched earlier in a 1986 double-blind controlled study that evaluated curcumin's anti-inflammatory action in comparison with phenylbutazone. The study found that curcumin was as effective as phenylbutazone in reducing inflammation.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3546166

Curcumall® may therefore be the preferable solution for those who are suffering from pain. In addition to the high concentration of liquid curcumin C3, Curcumall® provides an extract of the whole turmeric rhizome as we believe that turmeric contains additional components that contribute to health. Curcumall® also includes an extract of ginger, whose active ingredient gingerol, is also known for its
anti-inflammatory action. Depending on the severity of pain, it is recommended to take Curcumall® 2-3 times daily for two weeks and go down to twice a day for another 3-4 weeks. If there is a significant improvement in swelling and pain, one may continue the intake of Curcumall® once daily, as a preventive measure. The syrup of Curcumall® is well absorbed and was found to be very effective. Always, take a teaspoon of Curcumall® in a glass of water on an empty stomach (half an hour before meal or two hours after meal).

Curcumall and Alzheimer's Disease (AD)

Since I started developing Curcumall I am always amazed from the wide range of health conditions that curcumin can alleviate. This blog will deal with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and curcumin.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) involves amyloid beta accumulation in the brain, oxidative damage, and inflammation. Curcumin has anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and cholesterol lowering properties, all three of which are believed to be key processes involved in the pathogenesis of AD.
Research has shown that the risk of getting AD is reduced with increased antioxidant and anti-inflammatory consumption. Since curcumin has potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities and can suppress oxidative damage and inflammation, it was found that supplementation of curcumin in patients with AD, may inhibit the progression of AD. http://alzheimer.neurology.ucla.edu/pubs/RingmanCurc2005MedChem.pdf

There are a few suggested mechanisms explaining curcumin's activity in AD patients that may inhibit cognitive deficits:
Curcumin was shown to inhibit amyloid accumulation. The peptide called amyloid beta forms aggregates in the brain of AD patients, deposits known as amyloid plaques. Curcumin inhibits the formation of amyloid beta, binds the plaques and thus reduces the amyloid in the brain. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15590663
Another research has shown that curcumin helps AD patients by enhancing the natural function of the immune system. Curcumin improved ingestion of amyloid beta by boosting the activity of the immune cells called macrophages. Macrophages are immune system's cells that travel through the body and the brain gobbling up waste products, including amyloid beta. Curcumin may support the body's natural immune fighting function in directly helping the macrophages.
http://www.naturalnews.com/021157_disease_Alzheimers_Alzheimers_disease.html

A third approach has shown that curcumin may reduce amyloid aggregation by a mechanism of metal chelation. As metals can induce amyloid beta aggregation and toxicity and are concentrated in AD brains, curcumin might exert a net protective effect against the amyloid toxicity or might suppress inflammatory damage by preventing metal induction of NF-κB.
http://iospress.metapress.com/content/yy1rf8ctbf08lulu
At any rate, these data support the rationale for using curcumin in preventing and possibly treating AD. While other curcumin products have limited bioavailability, Curcumall is well absorbed and yet is without side effects. The overall feedback of my patients who use Curcumall is very positive. Curcumall assisted many Alzheimer patients who exhibited improvement in their cognitive deficits.

Curcumall, the liquid turmeric/ curcumin C3 extract that is easily absorbed and passes the blood brain barrier. Depending on the severity of the AD condition, it is suggested taking Curcumall 2-3 times daily for a long-term. Each time, one teaspoon of Curcumall in a glass of water, on an empty stomach (half an hour before meals or two hours after meals). Curcumall can also be used by healthy humans as a preventive measure and to assist improvement of cognitive abbilities. In such cases it is recommend taking Curcumall once daily.
